Art Exhibition “Silence Is Not Golden”

The theme is “S.I.N.G.”, “silence is not golden”.  Participants are encouraged to utilize the theme S.I.N.G., to speak out and bring awareness to topics which are generally not spoken of i.e.: anti-human trafficking, domestic, violence, anti-bullying, racism, etc.  Art submissions can be in the form of a painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, music, dance, spoken word, poetry, literature, or storytelling.   All pieces must be original.

Submissions are due by January 22, 2024, and should be dropped off at Not On My Watch Empowerment Center, located at 811 Allerton Ave., Bronx, NY 10467 or emailed to Pamela@NOMWi.org.

Beginning January 24, 2024 several art pieces will be on display at the Not On My Watch Empowerment Center.  A special closing ceremony exhibit and reception on Sunday, January 28, 2024, 3pm – 7pm, at the Bridgefield Civic League, 3551 Laconia Ave., Bronx, 10469.  Enjoy an afternoon of live performances, discussions, awareness, healing, and refreshments. Art submissions will be available for purchase.  Proceeds from sales of the art pieces will support the continued programs and work of NOMW.  Admission is free, donations will be greatly appreciated.

Not On My Watch, Inc. is dedicated to breaking the cycle of violence by assisting victims of human trafficking, bullying, domestic and sexual violence through crisis intervention, long-term support services, community engagement and awareness prevention education. In the fiscal year 2022-2023, NOMW provided dozens of training courses, workshops, awareness, prevention, crisis interventions, and professional counseling to over 2,000 students, universities, community organizations, and houses of worship.  We offer year-round programs, workshops and different events which bring awareness and empowerment to our local communities and neighbors city wide.
